A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College prioritizes holistic student development, emphasizing physical fitness, mental alertness, and values-based learning through yoga, sports, and cultural activities.

3. The Context

The college fosters intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth through the mandated practice of Yoga, Breathing Exercises and Meditation, reading hours in the library and sports for holistic development.

4.The Practice

The UNICEF and the UGC have recognized Life Skills(Jeevan Kausal) as “behaviour development”and adopting them is the key to excellence. The institution is keen on this area, therefore, sports, yoga and meditation have been the hallmark activities that are recognized as one of the best practices of the institution by the stakeholders.

5. Evidence of success

The campus ensures a ragging-free, disciplined atmosphere, fostering gender equality and academic integrity. Incidents of malpractice decrease annually, while library usage and student engagement in seminars, cultural events, national sports, and social services increase. The college boasts distinguished alumni globally.

Challenges include accessibility due to the campus's distance from NH-67, the need for increased financial aid for sports equipment, and the necessity of language labs to enhance communication skills for rural, first-generation learners.
